Hunston Mill, parts of which date from the 17th Century, is half a mile south of the village of Hunston surrounded by farmland. Hunston is a small village which is fortunate in having a Parish Church, a Post Office/ General Store, a Newsagent and pub called The Spotted Cow.
I love the fact that it’s not a bland monotone identikit to so many other places. It’s querky and beautifully set in tranquil surroundings, ideal for dog lovers or those who have none (our family are cat owners) We’ve been before and hope to return many more times.
Loved the range of buildings and the shop and laundry which would have been very useful if staying longer. There is a good bus service to many resorts and lots of places such as the fantastic crazy golf complex nearby to keep families occupied.
We had a fantastic weekend. Prior to our stay I was immensely impressed by my correspondence with Mike. Once there Thelma was lovely too. The cottages are beautiful and in a fantastic location, clean, organised and welcoming. Thelma (and the dogs) were very polite and tolerant considering we were a hen do of 14 people and I cannot thank her and Mike enough for making Sally’s weekend so so special. We will definitely be back when we aren’t as rowdy! Thank you again. Hayley
We had ‘Mill Top’ for a two day break. Warm welcome from the start by the owners and their two friendly dogs. The charming accommodation in this old windmill has got to be unique. Good location for exploring coast, town and country. We’ll return but will stay at one of the other cottages as the family dog will be in tow and may struggle with Mill top’s steps.
Beautiful place, peaceful, pretty gardens, pet friendly. And greeted by very helpful and friendly lady the moment of arrival. Even offered free bbq trays for brick built bbq, plenty of ice in store for hot days. Very comfortable and would love to visit there again.
The little cottage we stayed in was rather compact but still quite nice with its private little patio and table outside. Great proximity to West Witterings beach less than 15 min away. Loved the little shop on the premises.
